Objectives |
The objective of the project is to improve tank system based livelihoods and strengthen community management of selected tank systems
The four components of the project are
i) Strengthening community based institutions to assume responsibility for tank system improvement and
management
ii) Tank systems improvement;
iii) Livelihoods support services for
tank system users
iv) Project Management |
Approach/Strategy |
The project follows a participatory planning, implementation and management strategy
Throughout the entire project cycle the tank stakeholders will essentially be involved in every aspect such as tank rehabilitation, management and improving the production and economic returns from tank based livelihoods. The following approaches are designed to have an effective participation of stakeholders in the implementation process
